Yala Peak Climbing with Gosaikunda Helambu Trek is an exciting peak climbing package in the Langtang region of Nepal with the Langtang circuit trek. It is a complete form of adventurous trip that has been linked with the outstanding ethnic cultural offering.
Yala peak climbing trip begins from Syabrubesi, after driving 7-8 hours north of Kathmandu. Walking through the forest of the Langtang National Park, you reach to some of the spectacular Tamang villages as Langtang valley and Kyanjin Gompa. The cultural prosperity of the local Tamang people is surprising. They are also forward in wonderful hospitality. This makes you feel great before ascending to the Yala peak. Hiking to the Tserko Ri helps for acclimatization. Then you walk to the Yala peak base camp through the trail prevailed with rocky glacier. Base camp is also the place preparing for the climbing along with acclimatization. The following day, you climb up to the summit from where, the magnificent views of Shishapangma, Dorje Lakpa, Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, Langtang Lirung and many Tibetan white peaks. Descending from there, you head towards the Gosaikunda Lake and cross the Lauribina Pass to descend Helambu.

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m)Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM), you will be welcomed by a representative from Adventure Club Trek. After sorting out your custom formalities (visa and so on), you will be then transferred to your respective hotel in Adventure Club Trek’s private vehicle and give you some time to freshen up. After this, you will attend an orientation about your trek led by the trekking leader over a welcome dinner. Overnight at hotel. Meals: Dinner included .
Day 02Kathmandu : Sightseeing and Preparation for the ClimbThe exciting day begins with a cultural tour to various mediaeval sites in Kathmandu. You will drive to visit the UNESCO listed world heritage sites - Pashupatinath Temple (the biggest Hindu shrine), Boudhanath (largest Buddhist Stupa in Nepal), Swayambhunath (a fine Buddhist stupa at the hill top of Kathmandu) and the Kathmandu Durbar Square (an open museum and abode of Kumari). Coming back from the sightseeing, you will take part in a short briefing and trip preparation. Overnight at hotel. Meals: Breakfast included .
Day 03Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,462m) : 8 hours Early in the morning, we drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi enjoying the scenic views of ridgeline and terraced farm lands. The stunning scene of Ganesh Himal can be explored. The pleasant drive then goes through the bumpy road, continually to Syabrubesi via Dhunche. Overnight at Teahouse. Day 04Trek Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,500m) : 5-6 hours Following the Langtang Khola, we head from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel. During the foot hill excursion, we walk through the rugged path and rhododendron forest of the Langtang National Park. This is a pocket zone of the red panda. Via Bamboo, we reach to Lama Hotel. Overnight at Teahouse. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 05Trek Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3,307m) : 5- 6 hours We reach to the Langtang valley today via Ghoda Tabela. It is a gradual climb up viewing the beautiful sceneries of the green hills and picturesque Tamang villages. Langtang village is a unique and typical Tamang village, which is renowned for preserving the traditional values and cultural perfection. Overnight at Teahouse. Day 06Trek Langtang to Kyangjin Gompa (3,798m) : 4-5 hoursWe have a short walking today, which is nice for acclimatization. On the way, we pass some of the beautiful tiny ethnic settlements, cheese factory and cultural diversity. Kyanjin Gompa lies below the Langtang Lirung. The Gompa is a renowned one in Langtang, which reveals about the spiritual perfection of the villagers. Overnight at Teahouse. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 07Rest Acclimatization day at Kyangjin GompaToday, we spend an exploration day and we hike to the Tserko Ri. We walk up to the moraine after breakfast, explore the Himalayan wonders. Mt. Langtang Lirung and other Langtang region peaks can be explored during the hike. Even we can experience the cultural prosperity of the ethnic Tamang inhabitations. Overnight at lodge in Kyanjin Gompa. Overnight at Teahouse. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 08 Kyanjin Gompa to Yala Base Camp (4600m) : 5-6 hoursWe head towards the Yala peak base camp from Kyanjin Gompa. The trail is prevailed with rocky glacier. The views of Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, Yala peak and others can be seen stunning. After reaching at base camp, we do some practices for acclimatization. Enjoy the warm and hygienic meals cooked by our experienced kitchen team. Overnight at tented camp. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included
Day 09Summit to Yala Peak (5500m) then return to the base camp (4400m) : 8 hours This is the most important day of this trip. Getting up early in the morning, we have a breakfast and head towards the summit. From the top, we can explore the views of Shishapangma, Dorje Lakpa, Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, Langtang Lirung and many Tibetan white peaks. Then we gradually trek down to the base camp and celebrate. Overnight at tented camp. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included
Day 10Yala Peak Base Camp to Langtang village (3307m) : 7- 8 hours Succeeding the Yala peak climbing, we retrace to the Langtang village through Kyanjin Gompa. Overnight at Teahouse. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 11Trek Langtang village to Thulo Syabru: 5- 6 hours First we trek down to Lama Hotel through the lower trail from Rimche and continue to Dorjen. Then we leave the trail that leads us to Syabrubesi, rather take the route that leads us to Thulo Syabru. Now, we are officially on the route to the Gosaikunda Lake. Overnight at Teahouse. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 12Trek Thulo Syabru to Gosainkunda: (4,600m) : 7- 8 hours From Thulo Syabru, we walk through the rhododendron and bamboo forest. Passing the Phulung Gompa, we reach to Sin Gompa. Then we walk further to reach the Gosaikunda Lake. We become breathless on exploring there the sacred Lakes and alpine panoramas along with the views of Ganesh Himal range, Manaslu range, Langtang Lirung and the surrounding Tibetan peaks. Gosiakunda Lake is accompanied by Saraswati Kunda and Bhairab Kunda. Gosaikunda Lake is believed to have been created by Lord Shiva. We walk around the Lake and walk to the lodge. Day 13Trek Gosainkunda to Tharepati (3600m) : 6-8 hours Leaving the Gosaikunda Lake, we head towards the technical Lauribina pass, which is located at 4610 meters. The trail is not only rugged, but also steep. From the pass, the views of Mt. Manaslu, Langtang Lirung and Ganesh Himal can be seen spectacular. Climbing through the river bed and walking through the rhododendron forest, we reach to the grazing meadow, which is known as Kharka. Then we reach to the Tharepati village. Overnight at Teahouse. Day 14Trek Tharapati to Timbu: 6 -7 hours We begin the trek to Timbu, walking through Kakani at first and the bank of the Timbu Khola. We pass some of the beautiful Tamang villages to reach Timbu. Overnight at Teahouse. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 15Drive from Timbu to Kathmandu : 4-5 hoursWe will drive back to Kathmandu for about 4- 5 hours and you will transfer to the hotel. Getting refreshed, you will be invited for the farewell dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant. ,Meals: Breakfast and Dinner included.
Day 16Farewell; flights homeAdventure Club Trek will manage a farewell drive to the international airport for your final flight departure. Meals: Breakfast Included.

Prior to all the treks and expeditions, Adventure Club Trek hosts a pre-trip meeting in Kathmandu. The primary purpose of meeting is to provide an opportunity for individuals to ask questions about the forthcoming trek and to introduce other team members. The meeting covers topics as diverse as personal equipment and acclimatization and usually involves a hike and some skills training. Pre-trip meeting is very important in order to have a better preparation of the trekking.
Best Time to Trek/Climbing
Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) are the best months for this trip. Although Yala Peak can be climbed during winter, the cold temperature might not be suitable for everyone.
