Adventure Club is exceptional among the many Nepal-based trekking companies because there is no middleman in our organization -- we organize everything ourselves. Each member of our team lives, eats and breathes adventure travel, and possesses the broad knowledge that only comes from years of experience in the field. We sleep and eat with you at the guesthouses on the trekking trails, we travel with you on our vehicle-based tours, and we vet and stay in the same hotels as you with one goal in mind: providing you with a peak experience on the roof of the world! While we might not have the fanciest website with long lists of treks and expeditions, for the past fourteen years we have been conducting treks ourselves, and thus can offer each trekker the benefit of our first-hand experience in the field. Drawing upon that experience, we plan our itineraries carefully to make sure you get the maximum from your travel experience.
We are confident you'll have the most amazing time of your life. Instead of some cookie-cutter approach, we customize each trip according to your needs, going the extra miles to make sure all your needs are met. Our clients are repeat customers for a reason -- what we gave them was so good they came back for seconds and thirds -- in some cases even fourths as well! Our business, which is well-known in the adventure marketplace today, has been built by referral alone.
Regarding costs, our trips are all-inclusive: once your trip begins there is not much you will have to pay for until it ends. Our rates, among the best in the land, reflect a NO-FRILLS policy in which nothing is hidden.
Looking After Your Safety
Your safety is our top priority. Thanks to our years of experience and the safety measures we take, our escorted ventures have enjoyed a good safety record. While no trek (or even crossing the street in your home town) is without risk, we make every effort to minimize that risk. By thoughtfully planning all aspects of each trip (including routes, weather considerations, equipment, altitude acclimatization, and communications), we take the guesswork out so that your trip will be safe and hassle-free. We also provide you with a detailed "" what-to-bring" list, taking great care so that you can enjoy a problem-free adventure from beginning to end.
Your Financial Security

We consider a privilege to serve our customers with the best products and services. Our team guides, porters and accompanying staff are native to the mountains with a wide range of experience including first aid training specializing in altitude related problems.
Social Responsibility and Porter Children Education
While it is our honor and privilege to have you on one of our trips, by choosing Adventure Club Treks you also help support our mission to provide better education for the needy children of our porters. In addition to supporting the Porter Children Education Fund, Adventure Club Trek also assists in improving schools and the drinking water supply system in remote areas. Thus, while guiding trekkers and climbers in our mountains is what we are best known for, we are also proud of our commitment to Social Responsibility.
High Quality and Fair Prices
Adventure Club Trek organizes and guides our tours and treks directly, allowing us to cut out the middle men. ACT is locally run and we are dedicated to keeping prices low by avoiding going through outside or overseas companies. This way we can offer high quality service with flexibility at a competitive price, without compromising our standards of safety, responsibility and adventure.
When organizing treks and climbs, we keep in mind the fragility of the environment and strive to keep environmental impact to a minimum. We encourage you to "take only photos and leave only footprints," we cook meals using kerosene or (or gas in the case of camping trips), and stay at teahouses which utilize alternative energy sources (such as gas, rather than wood, for cooking). We properly dispose of all biodegradable rubbish and bring non-degradable items such as tin, batteries, plastic, etc. back to Kathmandu for proper disposal. At Island Peak Camp we have set up solar panels which generate power for lighting as well as for boiling drinking water, so that we are able to avoid the use of water in plastic bottles. Furthermore, our group tours have a maximum of ten participants, and so are small enough to minimize environmental harm but large enough for you to have a good time with fellow travelers from around the world.
Ethical treatment of Porters
Adventure Club Trek allows for a porter to carry only one or two trekker’s loads, depending on the weight. We seek to keep each porter’s load relatively light so that they may continue their work sustainably without adverse health effects.
At Adventure Club Trek, we take pride in the fact that every single porter and guide employed by us is not only well paid but also protected by an accident insurance policy including necessary medical expenses too. They are provided with warm clothing and proper shelter on all high altitude treks. All our treks benefit the village economics by using local services (manpower, produce, lodges and other services). We ensure that all our staff is well paid, insured and properly equipped.
Choose a small group tour, or Customize Tailor-Made Itineraries
Many travelers seek a group tour, which we are very happy to offer. Within such groups we listen to the input from each member of the group, so that one feels as though among family. We also allow for some free time, to allow an opportunity to explore on one's own. The small size minimizes the environmental impact, while encouraging a relaxed and friendly ambience among the members of the group. For those seeking a more personalized program, however, we also enjoy working with families, couples, or groups of friends or students to create a customized tour or itinerary.
Trekking and climbing gears we provide
For your convenience, we provide most of the warm trekking gears to each trekker as needed, including sleeping bag, down jacket and a complementary trek duffle bag and T-shirt. Besides the trekking gears we do provide all the group climbing gear including Ice hammer, snow bar, ice screw, climbing rope etc. along with fixed and dynamic rope required to climb the peak.
Hassle Free Travel
We take care of you from your arrival to departure including transportation and accommodation. For all longer road journeys we use private transportation so you can explore in comfort. Entrance fees for all National Parks and Heritage sites etc. are included. We will ensure climbing and trekking permits are available and include free use of climbing and trekking gear and that domestic flight tickets will be ready for you.
