Rafting in Trisuli

About Trip

Trisuli (class III) is the most popular river-rafting destination in Nepal, and offers great scenery, exciting rapids, and impressive gorges. Rafting in Trisuli can be organized throughout the year, and easily accessible from Kathmandu. It is also a great way to reach the start of a Chitwan jungle safari. Trisuli River features Class III+ rapids. Our trained guides and boatmen will safely navigate through the most tumultuous bends and chutes as you pass through famous rapids like Upset, Ladies' Delight, Surprise, S Bend, and Pinball. This trip offers enough action to keep white water veterans on the edge of their seat, but is still safe for children and first-time rafters, as well.

The rapid on Trisuli are mainly big and bouncy. “Flips” or other accidents are rare in normal water conditions, and it is possible to walk around the few difficult rapid, if you prefer. Since the highway follows the river you can easily come back to Kathmandu in a few hours after completion of the trip.

We offer 1- and 3-day trips, starting at Baireni and taking out at, or before, Narayanghat. This gives you a full and satisfying experience: you run all the major rapids, watch the river grow as its tributaries join, marvel as it cuts its way through impressive gorges, then leave it when it spreads out over the great plain of the Ganges.

Pre-Trip Meeting:

Prior to all the treks and expeditions, Adventure Club Trek hosts a pre-trip meeting in Kathmandu. The primary purpose of meeting is to provide an opportunity for individuals to ask questions about the forthcoming trek and to introduce other team members. The meeting covers topics as diverse as personal equipment and acclimatization and usually involves a hike and some skills training. Pre-trip meeting is very important in order to have a better preparation of the trekking.
