Bordered by India in the south and China in the north, Nepal is a land-locked country with the total area of 1, 47,181 square kilometers. Nepal only covers 0.1% of the total land on earth's s surface. Despite being small in territory, Nepal is one of the renowned and rich countries in the world in terms of natural beauty and cultural diversity. With three major regions; the Himalayan belt in the north, the hilly region in the middle and plain fertile Terai in the south, Nepal including the height peak, Mt. Everest accommodates 8 of the 10 highest peaks around the world alongside the deepest river in the world, Kali Gandaki River. Nepal is home to 27.3 million populations (according to population census 2011 AD).
