Cultural Tour of Bhutan- 6 Days

This 6-day-long cultural tour of Bhutan is the perfect introduction to the mystical and mountainous Dragon kingdom. The tour takes you to the stunning Western Valleys of Bhutan with views of the fantastic and ever-changing landscapes and lets you take a dip in the Bhutanese Buddhist culture, and experience Bhutanese hospitality.

Once we arrive at Paro International airport, we will drive to Thimphu, capital of Bhutan.

The second day of the tour is spent sightseeing in Thimphu. We hike to the Chagri Monastery, which is almost 500 years old. Other highlights of sightseeing tour in Thimphu include Memorial Chorten, Mino Zoo, National Library, Sangaygang View Point, and Kuenselcholing hilltop.

The next highlight of our 6-day-long Cultural Tour of Bhutan is the journey to Punakha Valley, which requires crossing the 3050m high Dochula Pass. We follow the spectacular Himalayan views into the Punakha valley where you visit the ancient Punakha Dzong, and temple of the ‘’Divine Madman’’, Chimi Lhakhang among other historical sites.

Finally, we drive back to Paro, and before catching our flight back home, we spend a day sightseeing in Paro. We hike up to the popular Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). We also visit other historical sites while in Paro-Ta Dzong, Kichu Lhakhang temple, Rinpung Dzong, and Drugyel Dzong.
