About Trip

Established in 1973, Chitwan National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), which is located in the lowlands of south-central Nepal, is rated the best park in Asia, and is by far the most popular wildlife sanctuary in the country. It also bears significant historical importance. The park preserves a unique ecosystem significantly valuable to the whole world. This 932 sq. km area of low, heavily forested hills is a great place to relax and experience the tranquility. Visitors will be going deep into the jungle on elephant-back or four-wheel drive vehicle to view wild animals in their natural habitat. Other thrills are a canoe ride, nature walks, bird watching excursions, and village tours. In the evening, local Tharu people perform their cultural dance by the fire or the expert naturalist’s lectures on the history of parks, animals, birds, etc.

This National Park offers dense habitat and an abundance of wildlife; one may see royal Bengal tigers, leopards, one horned rhinoceros, wild elephants, marsh crocodiles, wild boar, sloth bears, or several species of deer, including spotted, barking, Samber, and hog deer. There are also more than 350 species of birds. In addition to the animals, one can visit the local Tharu people in their village, and experience their unique culture and traditions. While on safariin Chitwan National Park visitors can choose between resort, hotel, or tent accommodations. In Chitwan resort/lodges are found outside and inside the park, and they all offer many jungle activities for their guests.

Day 03:Drive from Chitwan to Kathmandu.

Pre-Trip Meeting 

Prior to all the treks and expeditions, Adventure Club Trek hosts a pre-trip meeting in Kathmandu. The primary purpose of meeting is to provide an opportunity for individuals to ask questions about the forthcoming trek and to introduce other team members. The meeting covers topics as diverse as personal equipment and acclimatization and usually involves a hike and some skills training. Pre-trip meeting is very important in order to have a better preparation of the trekking.

Best Time to Visit National park
Autumn (Sept. to Dec.) and spring (March to May)is the best season when the sub-tropical weather is at its best. Especially during autumn you will not only get to fully enjoy the jungle activities but the clear weather will also help spot the elusive wild animals.
