The journey is silhouetted by outstanding panoramic views. Drugyel Dzong majestically towers Paro with dominating views of Mount Chomolhari. The spectacular hillock of Chomolhari perched high overlooking the entire valley of Ta-Dzong houses distinguishing cultural monuments and artifacts that reflect a long and varied history. In Thimphu, you get to experience indigenous culture in its most genuine form of visiting monasteries, a museum, stupas, a library, chortens and many such sites of cultural importance. You can explore the local market souks for a good selection of crafted artifacts, ceramics, basketry, traditional wood carvings and contemporary paintings. Wangduephodrang and Punakha Dzong further acquaint you with the deep-rooted cultural values of Bhutan that remains unchanged till today.
