Do you practice yoga? Would like to experience it in a part of the world in which it has been part of the culture for many centuries? For seekers such as you we offer this 10-day tour combining yoga with some spectacular but easy trekking in the beautiful Annapurna region of Nepal. This tour begins in Kathmandu, where we will provide a briefing before driving to the beautiful Lakeside city of Pokhara. From here we drive and then walk to the town of Sirubari , which is inhabited by one of Nepal's many ethnic groups, the Gurung. Here you will have the opportunity for a genuine cultural experience as you will be lodging and dining in the home of one of the local families. Although Sirubari must be reached by an uphill trek, if you are reasonably fit, you should not have difficulty, particularly since there is no extremely high elevation involved. (Sirubari's elevation is 1,700 meters.) On the second day in Sirubari you will be able to spend a whole day exploring yoga practice. The following day we trek to the very scenic town of Karkineta, surrounded by breathtaking Himalayan vistas.
We will then make our way to Panchase, an ancient pilgrimage destination. At Panchase, at an elevation of 2500 meters, we will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges, including such famous peaks as Machapuchare ("Fishtail Mountain") and Manaslu. Panchase, which means Five Sacred Seats, is also a noted sacred place for the practice of yoga. Nearby we will visit a number of important sites in the vicinity, including the Shiddibaba Temple and Homekunda (place for ritual fire offering), en route to Bhadaure. From there we drive back to Pokhara and then to Katmandu and our homeward flights
Note : Your safety is of the utmost concern whilst you are travelling with Adventure Club Trek. We will make every effort possible to follow the original itinerary but we reserve the right to change that itinerary if a segment of it becomes a safety issue. Certain mountain regions are remote, natural disasters can happen, weather conditions can decline and there can be illness or an injury. To avoid dangerous situations we may occasionally have to make changes to the itinerary to ensure everyone’s safety. That having been said, Adventure Club Trek will strive to provide you with the best possible trekking experience and to keep your safety our number one priority. We thank you for your understanding.
Prior to all the treks and expeditions, Adventure Club Trek hosts a pre-trip meeting in Kathmandu. The primary purpose of meeting is to provide an opportunity for individuals to ask questions about the forthcoming trek and to introduce other team members. The meeting covers topics as diverse as personal equipment and acclimatization and usually involves a hike and some skills training. Pre-trip meeting is very important in order to have a better preparation of the trekking.
Best time to trek to Annapurna Siru Bari
Autumn (Sept. to Nov.) and Spring (March to May) are the best seasons for this trek. The weather is sunny and warm with outstanding views. If you wish to avoid crowds and enjoy some alone time with nature, then taking this trip during winter (Dec., Jan., Feb.) could also be an option.
